Terms of Use
Version 1.2 — last updated 15 September 2026
By creating an account or using IpsoFit you accept these terms, the Privacy Policy and the Medical & Safety Disclaimer. If you do not accept them, do not use IpsoFit.
1. Who provides IpsoFit
IpsoFit is developed and provided by Carlos Barrado, an individual developer ("we", "us"). Contact: support@ipsofit.com. "You" means the person using IpsoFit.
2. What IpsoFit is
IpsoFit is a Pomodoro timer for Windows and Android that turns short breaks into guided five-minute exercise blocks. It generates randomised workouts and stretching routines — short mobility and strength "snacks", longer workout sessions, stretches and eye-rest breaks — with recurring reminders and local statistics. Your workout data is stored only on your device.
IpsoFit is currently a beta: features change, some may be incomplete, and access is by approval.
3. Accounts and beta access
- You need an account to use IpsoFit. Sign in with Google or with an email address and password. Keep your credentials to yourself; you are responsible for what happens under your account.
- New accounts wait for approval by an administrator. We may approve, decline or later revoke access at our discretion, and we may close the beta to new sign-ups at any time.
- Provide a real email address you control — it is how we reach you about your account.
- You must be at least 16 years old.
4. Not a medical device — read the disclaimer
IpsoFit prescribes physical exercise. It is not a medical device, gives no medical advice, and cannot know your health. Before your first exercise block the app asks you to acknowledge the Medical & Safety Disclaimer, which is part of these terms. In short: consult a healthcare professional before starting an exercise programme, especially with any medical condition, injury or pregnancy; stop and seek help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath; adapt every exercise to your own ability. You exercise at your own risk.
5. Your responsibilities
- Use IpsoFit only for personal, non-commercial purposes.
- Exercise in a safe space with suitable footwear and equipment in good condition, and follow each exercise's instructions carefully.
- Do not attempt to gain access to other accounts, to the administrator functions, or to our infrastructure, and do not interfere with the service.
- Keep backups of anything you care about (see section 7).
6. Licence and intellectual property
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use IpsoFit on devices you control, for as long as you have access under these terms. IpsoFit, its name, design and content are protected by copyright and other rights. Third-party components (including exercise data under permissive licences and timer code derived from the MIT-licensed Pomotroid project) are used under their own licences, which are acknowledged in the app's notices. Nothing here transfers ownership of anything to you, and nothing restricts rights you have under mandatory law (for example, to study interoperability).
7. Your data, your device
Your workouts and settings live only on your device. We do not hold a copy and cannot recover them if your device is lost, the app is uninstalled, or you erase local data. On desktop, use Settings → Data → Export to keep a backup. Account data is described in the Privacy Policy, and you can delete your account from inside the app at any time.
8. Beta status, availability and pricing
IpsoFit is free during the beta. We may later introduce paid plans; if we do, we will announce it in advance and nothing you already have on your device will be taken away. The service may be interrupted for maintenance or changed without notice. We may end the beta, or stop providing the service, with reasonable notice through the app or by email.
9. Warranty and liability — honestly stated
IpsoFit is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including — as far as the law allows — implied warranties of satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy. Exercise guidance, statistics and calibration are general and approximate.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from these terms or from your use of IpsoFit, including injury sustained while exercising on your own judgement, loss of data, or any indirect or consequential loss.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the law that applies to you — for example, liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or your statutory consumer rights. Where a limitation above is not permitted by your local law, it applies only as far as that law allows, and the rest of these terms remain in effect.
10. Ending the agreement
You may stop using IpsoFit and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We may suspend or close your account if you breach these terms or if the beta ends. Sections 6, 9 and 11 survive termination.
11. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the country in which you reside, and any dispute is subject to the courts of that country. This preserves your local consumer protections. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, that part is severed and the rest continues to apply. A failure to enforce any part is not a waiver of it.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The current version is always at this address, with its date above. If a change materially affects your rights, the app will ask you to acknowledge the new version before you continue.
